The 12th arrondissement of Paris has as been significantly reorganized in the lasts decades, especially in the areas of Cour Saint-Émilion and Bercy, which contain the French Ministry of Finances and the Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy.

Opéra Bastille
Inaugurated in 1989, the Opera Bastille is an Opera House who mostly received ballet performances. It was designed to replace the Palais Garnier; it is now the home base of the Opéra National de Paris.
Bois de Vincennes
Named after the nearby town of Vincennes, the Bois de Vincennes is Paris’ largest park.
In the eastern part of the woods lies the Vincennes Racecourse which is used for horse racing and special event; it has a capacity 60 000.
In the west part lies the Vincennes Zoo which is currently under restoration and will open its doors in 2014. In 1931, it received the 6 months famous International Colonial Exhibition.
Paris Gare de Lyon
Built for the World Exposition of 1900, the station Gare de Lyon is one of the six large railway termini in Paris. Since 1901, it houses Le Train Bleu restaurant, one of the most famous Parisian restaurant.
The station is recognizable thanks to its large clock tower atop one corner of the station looking similar to Big Ben.
Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy
The indoor sport arena, the Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy (POPB or Bercy), is the venue for the Paris Masters ATP Tour tennis tournament. Morever, it hosts big sports events like, handball games, basketball games and other European and world championship.
Depending of the event, sports or concerts, the seating varies from 7 000 to 17 000.
Parc de Bercy
One of the biggest park in Paris, the Parc de Bercy is the result of three connected gardens designed in the 90’s which represents altogether 14 hectares.
The Romantic Garden includes fishponds and dunes, the Flowerbeds dedicated to plant life and The Meadows an area of open lawns shaded by tall trees.
The National Library of France is linked directly to the park thanks to the Simone de Beauvoir footbridge over the Seine.
