The 13th arrondissement hosts the Bibliothèque François Mitterrand and the newly built business district of Paris Rive Gauche.

Home to Paris's main Chinatown, this district is not very known from the tourists. Also locally called Little Asia, the district contains many high-rise apartment buildings.

The National Library of France the Bibliothèque nationale de France (BNF) is intended to be the repository of all that is published in France. Its mission is to constitute collections; to gather copies of every work published in France that must, by law, be deposited, conserved, and be available to the public.
It traces its origin to the Royal Library founded in 1368 by Charles V at Le Louvre.

Gare d'Austerlitz
The Austerlitz Station was built in 1840 in order to serve first the Paris-Corbeil then the Paris-Orleans line. It was originally called Gare d'Orléans.
The station is used by some 30 million passengers annually. A large refurbishment project of the Paris Austerlitz is currently underway as it is the only station in Paris that can absorb an increase of traffic.

Manufacture des Gobelins
Near the Les Gobelins métro station, at 42 avenue des Gobelins, is the famous tapestry factory the Manufacture des Gobelins. The factory used to supply the court of Louis XIV and later other monarchs.
Nowadays, it is run by the French Ministry of Culture, and open for guided tours several afternoons per week by appointment.

Place d'Italie
At the heart of the 13th arrondissement, the Place d'Italie is the centre of automobile traffic circulation and a crossroads for most of the underground and bus lines in this part of Paris.
A nice place for going out with many restaurants, the place has as well one of the largest shopping centers in Paris.

Swimming pool of the Butte-aux-Cailles
Built between 1922 and 1924, the swimming pool of the Butte-aux-Cailles is one of the oldest pools in France.
Situated Place Paul-Verlaine and Art Nouveau, you won’t miss its brick red façade.
