Built in 1998 at the former site of the early 1900s atelier of the Russian painter Marie Vassilieff, the Museum of Montparnasse presents temporary exhibitions of works by Montparnasse artists, both past and present.
Maine-Montparnasse Tower
Currently the eleventh tallest building in the European Union, the Maine-Montparnasse Tower was built between 1969 and 1972. This 200 meters high tower, weighs 130 000 tons and contains 58 floors. It houses 30 000m² of retails and 100 000m² of offices. You can enjoy a 360° breathtaking view going on the 56th and 59th floors which are opened to the tourists.
