The Paris Bourse and the Bibliothèque Nationale de France (BNF) are in the 2nd arrondissement of Paris. Also called the Exchange District, it is a district from the 17th to 18th century. It still has many mansions dating from those years. The house of Clery N°.31 and Aboukir’s one on N°73, which were built in 1739, are the best known.

Bibliothèque nationale de France
The Bibliothèque nationale de France is intended to be the repository of all that is published in France. By law, it has to collect every works published in France, conserve them, and make them available to the public. Moreover, the BNF holds more than 5,000 Greek manuscripts.


Rue de la Paix
Rue de la Paix is located in a very chic area with luxury shops, major hotels and jewelers like Cartier and Mellerio. In the game of Monopoly, Rue de la Paix is known as being the most expensive street.


Boulevard de Sebastopol
Boulevard de Sebastopol separate the first and second from the third and fourth. It is one of the longest Boulevards and is primarily a place of high traffic. Despite having few restaurants and bars, that is not a real place of leisure.


Théatre Parisien
The typical Parisian theatre tradition is born between the streets Saint-Denis and Montmartre. Its continues today as you can still go and see plays at the théâtre des Variétés, de la Michodière, de la Potinière, des Bouffes Parisiens, or l'Opéra Comique.


Palais Brongniart
The Palais Brongniart was formerly named the Palais de la Bourse because it used to host the Paris Bourse. Today, it is a place for conferences and seminars owned by the City of Paris.
